Montana Vacation 2007

Our family (Bill, Debbie, Matt and Philip) vacation over the summer was a Amtrak Train trip to Montana. We started out by getting on our train in Palatka, Florida. We traveled over night getting into Washington, D.C. the next afternoon. Quickly catching out next train...we traveled all night to Chicago. We spent the day in Chicago. We got to shop on Michigan Avenue, go to the top of the Sears Tower and eat a Chicago Dog, YUM!
After a fun day in Chicago we got on another train headed for Whitefish, Montana. That train ride was 31 hours (total days on train 3). We took in the sights, snow and beautiful mountains. Whitefish, Montana is a wonderful little town. We spent 2 days exploring Glacier National Park looking for bears and horseback riding.
Next, we rented a car and drove 5 hours to Bozeman, Montana to visit with Bill's cousin Dan and Pam. We enjoyed their Bozeman hospitality - we went fishing, white water rafting and hiking. We even drove to Yellowstone National Park and stayed at the Old Faithful Lodge! This is a must see! After two weeks in the mountains...we caught a Delta flight back to reality!
